Dragon Talks January 2022

Our first meeting in 2022 mirrored our first talk of 2021. Charmaine encouraged us to think of a word that might be an anchor for us in all that we will experience in this new year. Charmaine and Linda helped us along by reminding us of the word we chose last year. This exercise once again turned out to be both meaningful and revealing. You might like to try it yourself. Think of a word that might keep you on track, one you will think of for guidance, correction, and encouragement as you face whatever 2022 has in store for you.

We were very pleased to have as our guest for our next Dragon Talk Linda Wilhelm. Linda is a Canadian, living in New Brunswick, one of our four Maritime Provinces. She is president of the Canadian Arthritis Patient Alliance, herself an AIID patient, and a patients-rights activist extraordinaire. She shared her experiences, both as a long-time patient, and as an advocate for others. We were very moved by her energy, and her self-giving focus on others.

For our next meeting, Paul shared a visual “map” of how we might consider moving from 2021 to 2022. Using this visual chart, we were encouraged to look at what we have learned in the recent past that will be of interest and assistance to living into the present. There was much mutual sharing and learning that came out of this exercise.

Our final meeting for January will be a coffee hour. This is a time for conversation, for listening, and for sharing. We never know where the conversation might lead us, but we all look forward to this monthly feature of our weekly Dragon Talks.

Please know that you are most welcome to join us for any or all of our weekly meetings.

Contact Charmaine or Paul for a Zoom invitation.

All are welcome to join us Tuesday evenings for Canada, and Wednesday mornings for Australia. Charmaine or Paul can share the Zoom link with you.
